Agamir Bangladesh Foundation in partnership with Pink Chai CIc, proudly delivered a breast cancer awareness workshop for 50 women in Sherpur, Jhenaigati, helping to bring life-saving health education to the heart of the community.

The programme included an awareness presentation, educational videos, interactive discussions, and the distribution of breast cancer leaflets and information brochures. Participants learned about the importance of early detection, breast self-awareness, and seeking timely medical advice.

Breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women in Bangladesh, with around 14,000 women diagnosed each year and approximately 6,500 lives lost. Through workshops like this, Pink Chai CIC® is working to break stigma, increase awareness, and empower women with knowledge that can save lives.

The women who attended expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to discuss a topic that is too often overlooked. They have now been encouraged to become community ambassadors, sharing what they have learned with their families, neighbours, and friends so that awareness can reach even the most remote communities.

The event was attended by Bindu, a Union Parishad Member and Community Clinic Health Representative, whose presence highlighted the importance of community partnerships in improving women’s health.

Pink Chai CIC® extends its heartfelt thanks to Agamir Bangladesh Foundation, all local coordinators and volunteers, and offers special gratitude to Dr. Musharraf Hussain for his continued inspiration, encouragement, and leadership. Together, we remain committed to ensuring that no woman is left behind in the fight against breast cancer.
