Pink Chai CIC was delighted to attend the inauguration of the Bangladesh British Civil Society (BBCS) in Manchester, where we hosted an information stall to raise awareness of our life-saving breast cancer awareness campaign.

The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with a wide range of civic and community leaders, including the Mayor of Rochdale, the Lord Mayor of Manchester, the Mayor of Warrington, Afzal Khan MP, representatives of the Royal Air Force, former mayors, business leaders, and community representatives.

Throughout the event, our team shared information about the importance of early detection, regular breast screening, and tackling the barriers that prevent many women—particularly those from South Asian communities—from accessing vital health information and services. We encouraged everyone present to become advocates for the campaign by helping to spread awareness, volunteering, hosting events, or supporting our work.

A significant highlight of the day was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pink Chai CIC and the Bangladesh British Civil Society. This new partnership reflects our shared commitment to improving community wellbeing and will strengthen collaboration on future health awareness initiatives, outreach programmes, and community engagement.

Together, we are serving hope, one cup at a time.
